DawaiScan is designed to work without collecting personal information. We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Medicine scan images or prescription photos
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Health records or medical history
- Payment information of any kind
2. Information That May Be Collected Automatically
When you use the DawaiScan website (dawaiscan.in), standard server logs may capture anonymised technical data including:
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL
- General geographic region (country/state level only)
This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you. It is used solely to improve website performance.
3. How the App Works — On-Device Processing
All medicine scanning and prescription decoding within the DawaiScan Android app is processed locally on your device. Images you capture are never transmitted to our servers. AI analysis results are displayed directly on your screen and not stored anywhere outside your phone.
4. Third-Party Services
The DawaiScan app and website do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics SDKs that collect personal data. We may use the following limited services:
- Google Play Store — for app distribution. Google's own privacy policy governs Play Store interactions.
- Hosting provider — our website host may retain standard server logs for up to 30 days.
5. Cookies
The DawaiScan website uses a single, functional cookie to remember your preferred language (English, Hindi, or Marathi). This cookie contains no personal information, does not track you across websites, and expires at the end of your browser session. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
6. Children's Privacy
DawaiScan does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our service, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
7. Data Security
Because we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no central database of your information to breach. The website is served over HTTPS with industry-standard TLS encryption. We review our practices regularly to ensure they remain secure.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable Indian data protection law and, where relevant, GDPR, you have the right to:

- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority
